Up until this season, I've been able to use it quite fine and have no had no difficulty adjusting the volume. However, it seems as though this past weekend they've changed their media player window format and now it is totally inaccessible. I've already contacted MLB about this issue through e-mail as well as calling their support hotline, but if anyone else has this package or perhaps is interested in signing up for it, I would suggest making your voice heard as well.
Who knows, maybe I'm not doing something right either. If that's the case and if someone's got any suggestions on how to move around on the new site, by all means, please share...

yes, the all-access package is the same way, but the tv format you couldn't change the volume anyway, I'm actually considering canceling my subscription on this
I am getting it on XM now so I didn't sign up this year. Last year was fine though.
well, this new media player they gorts, is shit
I contacted the support departmen and the gentleman I spoke to said that MLB.com was aware of the issue with visually impaired users of their gameday audio were having difficulty with the new format and that they were working towards fixing it.
He said that in the meantime, he would send me an e-mail with a link to a page that contained the different audio feeds in the old format and old media player configuration. He did so and the link works, but naturally no information is available for the games being broadcast that day. You can listen to any game for the previous 2 years, under the old format, but just not for the present day. I intended to call them back to see if this problem could be resolved, but I was just extremely busy today and was not able to get around to it. I'll go ahead and post the link here for anyone who wishes to check it out. Perhaps it'll be fixed in the meantime and problem solved...

Hi, everybody. I'm a brand-new user of Zone BBS and a new contributor to this topic; but I've been a paying MLB.com GameDay Audio subscriber for more than five years. I remain very disappointed by the same things everybody else has expressed: unpleasant surprises that make a Web site less accessible than in the past, instead of more accessible.
I will tell you that as of Wed., 15 April, the GameDay site still is inaccessible. When I raised this issue in a very frank way with MLB Technical Support, I too was told that MLB.com is looking into ways to solve the inaccessibility problem. I also was told that I could get live game coverage more easily by first logging in from the MLB.com home page, then going to GameDay Audio so that games play inside the Media Center frame instead of the inaccessible, separate Media Player window. I tried this, and it didn't work either. I could log in nd then could click on a game feed, but no sound would commence.
In my reply,I told MLB.com that its efforts to date are inexcusable, that I'm far from the only blind user of their site, and that accessibility should be dealt with proactively and not as an afterthought. I alsosuggested that, since they're certainly not shy about sending out mass marketing e-mails for MLB.com Shop products, they might think about sending usability surveys from time to time before just springing on us things like SilverLight and their now completely unusable [to the blind] media player. In the 24 hours or so since my sending of that reply I've heard nothing. So either MLB.com is ignoring us, as Yahoo! does on its growing inaccessibility problems, or else they're scrambling to work out a fix. As a long-time baseball fanatic, I sincerely hope it's the latter.
Cheers.
I have troubles to. they told me to try www.mlb.com/mediacenter/ then log in and then find the game day audi link. This seems better, buts it should be easier! I have complained for 2 years now.
I haven't had any issues with the volume, but I can't get scores from popping up as I listen to the games. It repeats them over and over again. Game day audio is quite accessible though.
Hey guys,
Well, I can listen to mlb, now that they have an accessible player. The only thing is, if you're listening to a game that has already been broadcasted, you can't fast forward or rewind or whatever. But you log in to your account, and go to audio and video, then go to the link that says current subscribers click here. Then after that you'll be on the multimedia page, then push A on your links list until you hear accessible game day audio. Then you can find what station you wanna listen to, and no other window will pop up. You should be able to fix the volume, higher it and lower it and play and pause. I paused it once though, and couldn't figure out how to play it again, so I guess it's better than nothing. But I figured I'd let you all know how to get there and that I think they're working on it. Believe me, I've complained about it to, so I think if enough of us get our voices heard, they'll work on it somehow. I hope you guys have luck with this, and let me know if you need any extra help.
